These are a pair of rice bowls crafted by Masayo Fujii, a potter in Fukushima City, Fukushima Prefecture.
The matte texture and gently layered colors are truly exquisite.
The larger size is named "Nami" (Wave).
It is inspired by "the constantly changing surface of lakes and rivers."
The smaller size is named "Sakyu" (Dune).
It is said to be inspired by "the ever-changing wind patterns on sand dunes."
The beautiful layers gently adorn your delicious mealtime.
When viewed from the side, the curved line connecting to the foot creates a beautiful silhouette and a pleasant tactile sensation.
The matte white interior makes the rice shine radiantly.
The pattern applied to the exterior, which subtly shows through, is also wonderful.
Matching children's rice bowls are also available.
If you are a couple who eats small portions, you can even use two children's rice bowls as a couple's set!
